Clio Media is run by two of the UK's most well-established national newspaper journalists, Tanith Carey and Anthony Harwood.

Tanith and Anthony have more than 25 years of experience each writing for publications and news websites all over the world. Tanith has also written a wide range of books for major publishers, on social history, biography and parenting.

Clio Media's wide-ranging journalism portfolio includes opinion pieces, news stories, investigations and reports on social trends for papers, magazines and sites ranging from the Daily TelegraphThe Times, The Guardian and the Daily Mail to Newsweek and the International Business Times

As well as being named Consumer Editor of the Year and nominated for Health Writer and Scoop of the Year, Tanith was shortlisted as Feature Writer of the Year (popular press) at the 2017 British Press Awards.

Who we are

Tanith Carey

Tanith Carey is a national newspaper journalist and author who writes books which offer a lucid analysis of the most pressing challenges facing today’s parents.

Her eight books have been translated into 15 languages, including German, French, Arabic, Chinese, and Turkish and have received widespread media attention

Tanith also writes on social trends, parenting and relationships for a wide range of newspapers and magazines around the world.

Her executive roles included Woman's Editor, Features Editor and New York correspondent for the Daily Mirror.

As well as being named Consumer Journalist of the Year, Tanith has also been nominated as National Newspaper Health Writer of the Year as well as the UK Press Gazette Scoop of the Year for her investigative journalism.

Earlier this year she was nominated Feature Writer of the Year at the 2017 British Press Awards.

The judges praised Tanith for her 'thoughtful and intelligent handling of sensitive stories.'

'Carey's feature on death was revealing and said something genuinely interesting and enlightening about our society. A great range of human interest stories beautifully told,' they said.


Anthony Harwood

Anthony Harwood has enjoyed a long career at the forefront of national newspapers. 

After leaving Edinburgh University he worked for 17 years at the Daily Mirror where was made US Editor travelling throughout North, Central and South America. 

After covering the Bush-Kerry presidential election in 2004 Anthony was recalled to London where he was made the paper's News Editor. 

Two months after his return he was in charge of the paper's coverage of the 7/7 terrorist attacks, for which the Daily Mirror later won ‘ Team of the Year’ at the British Press Awards. 

After running the 2010 Election Desk Anthony joined the Daily Mail as Executive News Editor before being made Foreign Editor two years later.

In 2015 he left the Daily Mail and now specialises in foreign news for publications such as Newsweek, The Guardian, The Independent and International Business Times. He is also London Correspondent of Gulf Times.
